 Dear Emma,
Dear Emma, I once told you I could tell you what happens before it happens…kind of like magic. I want to tell you about a new design team for Moda fabrics that will debuting at Portland Quilt Market this month. They are a mother and daughter team. Bonnie Olaveson from Cotton Way has been attending quilt market for over 19 years, while her daughter Camille Roskelley from Thimble Blossoms has just joined the Market world. Bonnie & Camille have created one fabric line with two separate color ways while each adding their own style and flair to the collection. Read more about these fabrics in their blog below. Who knows Emma, when you get a little older you may want to do a mother daughter line with your mom…

Hello again Jolly Jabber readers! For the last twenty-one years, home has been in Cottonwood Hollow, a little area of our tiny little town. When we built our home on Cotton Way, it seemed a fitting name for Bonnie's new pattern company. 18 years down the road and a thousand miles from home, Camille decided to start up a little business of her own, Thimble Blossoms. When we were asked if we would be interested in designing fabric for Moda, it was an instant YES. Who could pass up such an amazing opportunity? When the time came to put together a concept for the fabric line, the name Cotton Blossoms seemed like the perfect choice. The combination of two people, two businesses, and two ways of thinking, one on the more traditional side, and one on the trendy side, was the inspiration for it all.

This is really such a dream come true for both of us. We have so enjoyed working with Moda and would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped us turn this dream into a reality! What a thrill it has been to be given the opportunity to express ourselves through our very favorite medium -- Moda fabric. And together! Who could ask for more?
