Hey all! After a long, grueling, obstacle-riddled journey to the fair city of Portland (Oregon Trail after all?), we immediately went to work. No rest for the bleary-eyed! Here are a few peeks of booths we got to see....don't worry, there are more to come!
Deborah of Deborah's Designs was nice enough to give us the Sugar Candy quilt she designed for us!

And lastly, there was the always crazy event known as Sample Spree. Check out the fun at Moda's booth.

We even snagged a bundle to give away. Comment on this blog post, and we will hold a random drawing to give away this Portabello Market bundle by 3 Sisters, due out in September. Winner will be posted next Friday (not tomorrow)!

For now, good night! Talk to you more tomorrow!

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 599 of 599 Newer› Newest»Thanks for sharing! Just love seeing all the displays and samples. Must be hard to see this then wait for the fabric to come in!!! Hope I win!!!
Thanks for the eye candy! Would love to win the bundle!
OMG it looks like you are in fabric heaven. Wish I could stow away in your luggage.
You are so lucky to be in Portland at Market. I hope I'm lucky enough to win the FQ pack!
Thank you for always letting us in on the fun! Your pictures are great! Have fun!
Here I sit in 97 degree Hillsboro OR. Feel like I'm on the outside looking in. Wish I could be there with you all. Have a great time, and remember to chill
All these quilts are darling! This is so cool that you are sharing with all of us not getting to go! Can't find the BOM that you said you put on the site before you left.
Please add me to your drawing! Hope I can win
It looks like so much fun!
Thanks for sharing the fun!!!
Can't wait to hear about the rest!!!!
I love the daily updates - thanks so much for sharing.
Bonny
Sample Spree looks like a blast. Wish I was there.
I am brand new to quilting (I'm ALMOST done with my first quilt top!) and this has been so inspiring to me. I definitely see how one can become quite addicted very quickly to this beautiful art! Thanks for sharing this.
Quilt Market looks like so much fun ... wish I was there! Hope I win the sample bundle. Thanks for sharing the goodies! :) Pat
Have a GREAT time! Wish I were there.
Glad to hear that you are having a good time! You are lucky too that the weather here is so nice, no cold wet rainy weather for your visit! Thank you so much for posting all of these wonderful pictures and for the generous opportunity to win such a lovely fabric bundle!
Market always looks like a fun, crazy time, especially Sample Spree. I can only imagine how much work it takes to prepare for all the madness!
Glad you are having fun. Thanks for having a drawing!
Does anyone know if these shows are open to everyone? I would love to go to one of these!
Thanks, Emily
Going to Market looks like so much fun! But I have to imagine that it is also overwhelming with all those wonderful new fabrics and designs. How to choose? The new Portabello Market bundle looks awesome too...reminds me of the song "Portabello Road" from the movie "Bedknobs and Broomsticks". The song is about a market on Portabello Road--perhaps that is the inspiration for the collection. Hmmm...
OK I'll join in the 500+ comments! Thanks so much for posting from Market for those of us that couldn't make it! So much fun!
Greetings from Louisiana!
I am a new quilter and also new to your blog.
Your pix make me feel like I'm walking down the asiles in Market! What fun to take them without so many people in each booth! How DID you ever manage that?? Your trip to the booths made a very dreary day in NW PA turn into sunshine in my heart! Thank you for your time & efforts on these blog booth shots! What fun!

What a wonderful experience it must be- is your head spinning by the time it hits the pillow each night?! I go to Portland several times each year and keep hearing how good Stanford's is. Now I know I need to try it and especially the Texas Pecan Pie!

Hi from Australia, looks like lots of fun, love hearing about your experience at show
I bet it's been a whirlwind trip to Portland- too bad there isn't more time to enjoy the City of Roses! I lived in Seattle for about 25 yrs, and loved to scoot down to Portland for a weekend getaway. And I'm *sooooo* jealous that I can't attend, not being an industry person!! Oh well - you've brought a lot of it to us. Thanks so much!
Betsy Pratt

Thanks so much for all the markets info. Living in Australia means I probably have a very low percentage of checking out Portland in person, but you all make me feel like I'm almost there. If you could see my face it is a touching shade of green!!!!

Your blog was informative in regards to the quilt market. I live 1 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh and would have loved to attend the function. Oh well, I trust you will choose well for I am one of your loyal customers.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Judy
Thank you for bringing the Show experience to us! A girl can dream of next season....
I am a fairly new quilter, just having purchased a new sewing machine and have already found that I think I need a "Twelve-Step Program" for my new addiction of fabrics and quilting in general! I cannot get enough of it, and how I wish I could have been in Pittsburg for this incredible event. The April Cornell and Moda fabrics have sewn up beautifully and one instructor told me that my Storm at Sea fabrics were obviously great quality. Purchased at Fat Quarter, of course! Keep the good stuff coming. I keep my credit card working!
I have to tell you, looking at all the pictures and reading your blog makes me want to open my own shop so I can go to the market. What excitement and eye candy, looking and shopping for all the fabrics that will make it you your shop this year. I definitely have an undiagnosed disease.
I'm SO jealous - what fun this must be!!!!
What a ball everyone must be having! Wish I could be there!
