Cottage Charm by Heather Mulder Peterson

Heather Mulder Peterson, pattern designer powerhouse of Anka's Treasures, is back on the Jolly Jabber to talk about her first fabric line and her new books and patterns! (What a busy bee!) Her fabric, Cottage Charm, is sweet and warm in a sophisticated way. Soft yellow, pink, blue and green hues combine with strong reds and browns for a dreamy Snow-White-singing-in-her-cottage-in-the-woods-doing-chores-with-forest-animals feel. We've got it in two color bundles, named after her cute niShe also shows us a few possibilities for her beautiful patterns. Which one is your favorite of the bunch? P.S. Our pre-Market contest is still going strong! Comment to enter if you haven't already!

This has been a very busy summer and I'm so excited to be able to share what I have been working on. First of all, I've got a new fabric line that is just hitting the stores. It's called Cottage Charm and it looks just how it sounds - with a fresh, cottage color palette and charming florals. Definitely two of my favorite things!

The main thing that has been keeping me busy is the new book that I have been working on called Livin' Large. This one, found in my book, is called Pretty in Pink. It features every piece in the line, except two of the creams, so it really gives you a sense of how the colors work together. The green ric-rac is made by Moda. It's a great alternative to doing bias stems.

This one is called From the Heart. The pattern is also featured in my newest book, but is shown in 1974 by Urban Chiks (love them!).

And - back by popular demand, I've added a couple more patterns to my Little Charmer Series. This runner is from Little Charmers 5. Small projects like these are simple ways to add a dash of cottage charm to any room!

I also did a free pattern that is on the Henry Glass website. Kimberly has kitted this one up for you, so you can get started sewing right away!
