New Fig Tree Quilts Patterns!

Happy Friday! We're ending our blog week with a feature on the always luscious designs of Joanna of Fig Tree Quilts. She's doing her Market recaps blogs now, so head on over after this to see her bee-yoo-tiful photos! Today she introduces her newest patterns and gives us a glimpse at her upcoming line, Mill House Inn! Also, if you are a Fig Tree Fan (and who isn't?) you must see the new Fig Tree Club she's recently dreamed up -- genius!

Hello FQS Friends --

I am happy to join you once again and tell you a bit about what I’ve been up to. We have returned from Market and we had such a wonderful time.

We wined and dined and sold fabric and patterns and generally enjoyed being with our friends and colleagues in the quilting/sewing industry. The FQS staff were among those we “wined & dined” with and enjoyed catching up with-- anytime, anyplace, ladies and Kevin… missed you Kimberly!

Mill House Inn
The collection we showed at Market was inspired by last summer’s wonderful adventures in the British countryside, known as the Cotswalds. I named it after the stone inn that we stayed in while I poked around the green hills taking pictures of every country garden, cobblestone walkway and charming tea shop in sight. There is just something about the colors of that region that transport me into a whirlwind of fabric! With color names such as Clotted Cream, Fresh Apricots, Pond, Rose Red, Butterscotch Pudding, Currant Jam and Meadow Green...and print names such as Floral Chintz, Goose Down Pillows, Cabbage Roses, Meadow Fields, Pinafore Dots and Afternoon Tea, we hope you can just imagine yourself there as well.

Our Fresh Vintage™ Pattern Series
This continues to be one of our most popular series as more and more of you discover what a wonderful value one of these pattern booklets really is. For the same price as one of our regular patterns, this 12-page booklet gives you several patterns plus so many other features such as articles, reviews, recipes, & more. If you’ve never tried one, this next one [issue #12] might be a good time to try. It arrives in a few weeks and of course FQS will carry it. It features one pattern with 5 variations! How can you beat that!

Our Newest Quilt Patterns
This time we created all of our patterns out of both our current [Patisserie] and the upcoming collections [Mill House Inn] so you can enjoy them just as well now as you can in September when Mill House Inn arrives.

We continue to love those precuts and most of our new quilt patterns can be done from your stash or using one of those little pre-cut lovelies… both French Kiss and Petite Fleurs can be made with a Honeybun™, Papillon can be made with a JellyRoll™, and Rosettes can be made with a Layer Cake™.

One of our best sellers at Market was our new Madeline [shown at the very top] and a little birdie told me that Kimberly have plans for it. And last but not least our newest in our appliqué series, Crème Fraiche, coming in soon.

Our Newest Fig Tree Threads Sewing Patterns
Our sewing pattern series continues to headline our pattern collection as they introduce our sewing customers to our easy pattern format and simple instructions. This time around we introduced Bon Voyage, Bon Apetite and Little Picasso. My daughter is very excited to have the samples for one of those back… I'll let you guess which one that could possibly be!

Hope you enjoyed the updates. We have lots more up our sleeves, so be sure to visit our blog and our site often to see what we have in the works.

Talk to you again soon,
Joanna Figueroa
