Designer Tidbits: Sandy Gervais

It was so fun seeing Sandy again at Market, she is such a sweetheart! And now, we are so excited to welcome Sandy Gervais to the Jolly Jabber. Sandy Gervais' latest fabric collection is Grand Finale for Moda.

Q: What was the first seed that grew into the Grand Finale collection?
A: The fabulous color that Mother Nature gives us right before the long colorless winter - like a grand finale.

Q: What are 3 Words you would choose to describe this collection?
A:
1. Versitale prints - they are fall but do not scream fall.
2. Warm colors
3. Panel looks a little Folkloric.

Q: What single print/SKU in the collection is your favorite (can only pick one!)?
A: The little plaid because it is nice to have something other than a pretty little print and it adds texture to a quilt.

Q: What is your dream project using this collection?
A: I would like to make Lissa Alexander's scrappy granny square quilt.

Sandy Gervais' Silly Secrets

Chocolate, caramel corn, and half of a cinnamon roll every morning - the middle part of the cinnamon roll.

2. Work and life essentials aside, what is the activity you spend the most time doing?

3. Your biggest pet peeve?
People who litter!

6. What is the most important part of a sandwich?
The butter or the mayonaise.

7. What is your favorite fabric print ever (excluding your own)?
Oh my I have so many little treausres that I have saved over the years in my "stash". I have a whole bolt of one of Jan Patek's red and khaki twill stripes. Love it - and it is timeless.
