Quilt Market Fall 2011: Day 1

Let me just tell you, there are some pretty spectacular booths and projects and fabric lines and designers and manufactures and...well, if we're being honest, all of Quilt Market is pretty spectacular! So now we're going to show you just a few of our pictures of things that you specifically asked to see, announce the winner from last night's blog AND we're going to have another giveaway at the end of this post!

So excited to meet Ty Pennington! Not only is he incredibly good looking but so is his fabric! We'll be carrying all of his new Impressions prints so be sure to check them out on the Coming Soon page!

Mary and Barb of Me and My Sister Designs in their booth with their absolutely adorable new collection, Twirl! These two are absolutely hilarious! I mean, just look at them standing in the plant display like that! And seriously, how cute are those quilts?!

Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs standing in her super cute booth which was fully stocked with tons of amazing quilts! Check out the Merry Merry Snowmen on the right and Hoos My Baby? on the left! Gotta love the little owls and snowmen!

Ooh! I know you are all dying for a little taste of Hello Luscious, basicGrey's new collection for Moda! We're absolutely falling in love with this quilt and the fabric! Great prints and amazingly cheerful colors!

And here's a nice treat for everybody! A new collection and a new Moda designer! This is Quilt Blocks by Ellen Luckett Baker and let me tell you, it looks great in person and she is just as sweet as can be! You'll love her, I'm sure of it!

Mmm I love me some Sweetwater and their new collection, Reunion, is every bit as great as Hometown! And don't worry, they're going to be printing some canvas too!

And I think this might just be one of my personal faves--every time I walked by this quilt I think my jaw dropped a little more! The fabrics are absolutely stunning and this Clamshells pattern by Aunt Em's Quilts  is too cute! It's Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket for Moda!

And, as if all this great fabric isn't enough good stuff, we also got to hang out with a few of the Moda designers and some Fat Quarterly gals! These ladies are a hoot, let me tell you! And they're real people--that's right, they need coffee in the morning too! Just like me!

And now for some more new fabric and even more great stuff!

We're all falling in love with Amy Butler (above), her fabric, her projects, her displays, and now, yup, we're even falling in love with her husband...David Butler aka Parson Gray. Check out his great new collection, Curious Nature, due to ship in February.

His collection is masculine, so great for a man's quilt, but it's also beautiful and feminine enough to be women's apparel. I'm serious, ya'll will love this line, it's terrific!

We're so excited about all the great new lines that we got to see today and there are going to be even more new collections tomorrow! We really did see a little bit of everything today!

We're seriously loving all the great artsy prints and colors from Dear Stella, a brand new designer/manufacturer that is sure to knock your socks off! Check out all 9 collections on our site!

And now for a little surprise of our own...

One fish, two fish....green eggs and ham...the Cat in the Hat...seriously, who doesn't love Dr. Seuss?! Here are some of Robert Kaufman's newest Dr. Seuss prints, featured in an It's Sew Emma quilt! Did you get to see Debbie Taylor's newest It's Sew Emma quilt?!  This is Gumdrop Garden, using Patty Young's newest collection, Lush for Michael Miller. The fabric is great, the quilt pattern is great, the designers are great...what's not to love?!
