The day has come to an end, and looking back, Schoolhouse seems like a bit of a blur! We wore our running shoes and did our best to make it to as many amazing Schoolhouse lectures as possible, and boy did we have fun! We would seriously love to share everything with you, but for now, here are a few of the highlights with you:
Have you heard about this man? He's Amy Butler's husband, David Butler - designer name "Parson Gray". He's a cutie isn't he? (and he's in a band)! This is an absolutely incredible men's line! You can visit his Curious Nature bundles on our Coming Soon page now.
Debbie ran into Amy Butler in the stampede of people on the way to their next class.
Thomas Knauer's brand new line, Flock, inspired by The Brady Bunch- He said Pear Tree was inspired by The Partridge Family. What do you think his next line will be??
Rachel Griffith showing off her Stitch bag to Betz White before Betz's Schoolhouse. It's cute isn't it?!
Jane Sassaman (in the middle) flaunting her Early Birds line. She was really a hoot!
And have you heard about Vanessa Christenson's new book? It's all about sewing for the busy mom. She also shows you how to use a lot of texture rather than prints for a sophisticated and clean appeal. Here is an example she of a super cute quilt she made using traditional doilies.
At Swirly Girl Designs' class she presented the Weekend Clubhouse 2012 Block of the Month quilt. You can choose from two different colorways - a blue and tan called Cabana and a white and red called Cottage - both absolutely stunning!
Hungry? I am! These look delicious don't they? Kari Ramsay of Fresh Cut Quilts had these displaying at her class. Have you checked out her Daisy Dance line yet?
Kimberly and the lovely Anna Griffin at the Anna Griffin Blend Launch Party.
Everything was amazing and it was great to see everyone! But i bet you're all dying to know what our big surprise was...Debbie Taylor got to speak for It's Sew Emma at Patty Young's Schoolhouse lecture! Check out this adorable quilt! Don't ya'll just love the pattern and then fabric?!
She talked about her new pattern, "Gumdrop Garden", which uses Patty Young's line Lush.
Have you chatted on #talknt? Well here is the creator of it all Cara Wilson aka @CaraQuilts as she bumped into Stephanie at Fabric 2.0. See the shawl on her shoulder? That is backed with Moda's Snuggles - she said that people would not stop petting her all day. It really is just so soft!!
Look who else I spotted at Fabric 2.0-- that's Rashida Coleman Hale designer of I Heart.. she's so cute!
And, of course, we found some of the Moda girls. They are always a hoot to kick back with after the long day. From left to right.. Stephanie, Joanna Figueroa, Kate Spain, Jocelyn & Sarah.
And then we hit Sample Spree - everyone attacked the Moda booth!!
Now for the part you guys have really been waiting for ... a giveaway! Look what we got today at Sample Spree... Papillon Fat Quarter Bundle by 3 Sisters. Isn't it so gorgeous?
