Celebrate Christmas Quilt-Along: Welcoming Friends

Good morning Jolly devotee! Today we have a little special something, a Quilt-Along, and guess who was invited as one of the 36 block designers!? That's right, it was me, Kimberly!

So a tidbit of background. On Quilting Gallery's site every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 12 weeks straight you will find one new designer with a new block and full instructions on how to make that block. To make it even better, a "Super Deal" is posted along with each block from places like Fat Quarter Shop! (You can find all the information for it here plus a fun contest.)

Well let's get right to it, today I get to show you my Welcoming Friends Quilt Block I made with Ruby by Bonnie & Camille. Even though it’s not the first thing that comes to mind as a Christmas fabric, you still have the red and green, and it makes it so cheery!

I had so much fun making it! Here's one idea of a quilt you could make using this block and a variation of it.  I just think it's so adorable!

And in the spirit of Christmas (since this is a Christmas Quilt-Along) I also mocked up a block using Fa La La La La by French General just to give you some more ideas. Yummy!

In case you missed the link to download the block instructions, here it is.
I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Don't forget to look up today's Super Deal! Or on the other hand I can just tell you!
