Tanya Whelan came to visit the Jolly Jabber not too long ago to show off her new collection, Sugar Hill. Well now she is back for a hop, skip and a jump to show off her stunning new book Sew What You Love. Make sure you stay until the end because there is a prize involved!
I just want to thank the Fat Quarter Shop for being a stop on my blog tour for my new book Sew What You Love! They are such an incredible resource for fabrics on the web. As a matter of fact, they have my latest collection, Sugar Hill, which I used for some of the projects in the book, available right now. The book includes 30 projects for bags, home, children’s items (toys, bedding, clothes) and adult clothing.
It also comes with three large pattern sheets in an envelope at the back of the book and a couple of full size templates inside the book. The projects are really simple and will work for sewers at any level. Also included are techniques and tips for sewing with knits, using elastic thread and bag construction. Basically I really wanted to show projects that were simple, pretty, and easily achievable that people would want to use in their everyday life. Decorative and occasional things can be wonderful but I always get a thrill out of actually using the things I make day to day. Hoping all your projects come out perfectly in 2012 everyone.
Happy Sewing!
Tanya Whelan
Now it's time for a giveaway. We are giving away one copy of Tanya's Sew What You Love book.
To enter, comment on this post telling your favorite Sugar Hill print.
Contest closes Thursday, January 26 at midnight CST.
Good Luck!
