Today, Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs is going show us how "easy" it is to make a beautiful Dresden Plate Quilt using this ruler!
There is something about a Dresden Plate quilt that I have always loved. Maybe
it’s the way the fabrics work together, the roundness of the block or the repeat of the
pattern. My husband will tell you it’s because the blocks look like plates and that I
buy plates like no one else. Either way I just can’t help myself. I have a weakness for
Dresdens and I’m hoping you do too! That being said, today I am going to show you how easy the Dresden Ruler makes my life and hopefully yours.
Have you seen the Dresden Plate Club over on my blog yet? For 6 months I am posting a tutorial how to make a Dresden Plate Quilt! It's so simple yet so adorable. Here is a link to Tutorial #1: How to use the ruler to make the Dresden Plates. It literally makes the perfect plates!
In future months I will be posting tutorials on how to create the rest of the blocks and how to complete the entire quilt. You can find the tutorials each month on my blog under the "FREE" tab and Fat Quarter Shop has been so kind to make a Quilt Kit out of it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
