Yes, I found it! It is Welcome to Bear Country. It really takes me back quite a few years ago. I loved (and sometimes still do) reading Winny the Pooh and The wind in the willows. This collection reminds me of those wonderful stories and paintings.

My kids had a LOT of the Berenstain books. "The Spooky Old Tree" was one of their favorites. I almost have it memorized from reading it so often!
Did you know that the author, Jan Berenstain just passed away at the end of February? She was 88. (Her husband Stan passed away in 2005) What a wonderful legacy they've left!

Welcome to Bear Country. When those books first came out, I was very skeptical about them...I hated the artwork and thought they would be ho hum. Well, nothing of the sort! My kids loved them! I started reading them at least 25 yrs ago??? My kids are all grown now and we are now reading them to the next generation...they have such good morals to the stories.
