Designer Tidbits: Basic Grey

BasicGrey is here to chat with us about their newest collection, Little Black Dress, detailing their chic vision and their elegant color palette. The collection arrived at the Fat Quarter Shop yesterday and its sophistication is contagious. Get ready for a swanky Friday night!

Q1: To what or whom would you dedicate this collection, or what inspired this collection?
A: A few years ago, BasicGrey created a very popular collection “Black Tie” for the scrapbooking industry. Little Black Dress was a spin off on this line, with that classic, elegant and chic look to it. We loved the simple blacks, white, grays, beiges and taupes. It’s a very sophisticated collection, mixed with simple and ornate designs.

Q: What is your favorite project using this collection?
A: Our adorable Penguin family: Peter, Polly and Penelope, or the heart yo-yo frame.

Q3: What would be your collection’s theme song?
A:Haven’t met you yet” by Michael Buble. He is always dressed to the nines and we just imagine him waiting for that amazingly classic, elegant woman dressed in her Little Black Dress.

Q: If you could live in a movie, what movie would it be?
A: Breakfast at Tiffany's; Audrey Hepburn would have gone crazy over this fabric collection!
