It's Sew Emma Spotlight: Geo Stars Table Runner

Hey, it's Debbie here and I have a fun new pattern to tell you about! The Geo Stars Table Runner featuring Textured Basics is a new FREE pattern and comes as a kit! This runner made its debut at Fall Quilt Market 2012. The design inspiration for Geo Stars Table Runner came from a request by Patty Young of Michael Miller Fabrics. Patty was planning her booth for the Fall International Quilt Market in Houston and had a space in her booth she needed to fill. She gave me the measurements and I got to work!

The design needed to be long and narrow so a table runner was the perfect size. I did a little fussy cutting in the centers of the stars and chose the multi-color houndstooth for the points. The textured cream was an obvious choice for the background of the stars! I love all the bright colors in this line!

This is a quick and easy project to sew and would go well with all the colors of Spring! What collection would you choose for this FREE pattern?

I would go Audra's Iris Garden by Brannock & Patek for Moda Fabrics collection - it would be flowery and elegant at the same time :-)
