Paris Flea Market takes me back – all the way back to when we first opened Fat Quarter Shop! Paris Flea Market by 3 Sisters for Moda Fabrics was among the very first fabrics we offered and instantly became my personal obsession. There hasn't been a favorite to top it since!
I was so happy when Moda told us they were reprinting the collection! We immediately went to the drawing board to design a new It’s Sew Emma pattern for it, but nothing hit the sweet spot, until an antique quilt at the Fall Quilt Festival in Houston caught our eye! The one we sighted used 1930s prints, but it suited this fabric perfectly – the blend of the pastels in mixed up 25-patch blocks accents of red points.
So Paris Flea Market Find became the first in our Vintage Inspired pattern series, but there will certainly be more to come. The pattern is written for lap through king sizes, so you can make the one that suits you. I hope you find it inspiring!
Shop owners, you can find this as ISE-138 at United Notions, Brewer and EE Schenck!
