I love diagonals and think that using Willow Stonehenge by Northcott Fabrics would be fun. I'd use light shades on the top left diagonal to dark shades on the bottom right.

I would use Comma - I think the white would sighlight the bold colors and graphic lines of the fabric so well.

Looking thru the fabrics, there are so many that I think this quilt would look adorable in... Honey, honey... Paris Flee Market would give it a lovely soft vintage look... Spa would be relaxing and maybe take on the look of some gentle rolling waves. Thanks for reminding us about this great pattern! I just might have to give it a try!

I would love to see this in Julia Rothman's Type. And then I clicked over to FQS to make sure that you have Type (which of course you do, because you have everything awesome) and learned that Julia has a new collection called Ride coming in spring. Sigh, I need to start saving my pennies. Or maybe take a second job, because there is just too much fabric that I Have.To.Have. LOL!

I love the civil war package you show here. My son while in high school was a civil war and WWII buff..his senior high teacher even asked me if he could have my son "teach" the class on certain things cause "he knows more than I do about it!". So a Civil War theme quilt is what I am planning on making my son for his birthday in June.
