Heirloom Kansas City Star Block of the Month

Have you signed up for our new Heirloom Kansas City Star Block of the Month? The Kansas City Star newspaper, based in Kansas City, Missouri, published over 1,000 quilt patterns from 1928 to 1961. This block of the month program showcases some of these wonderful patterns. We scoured their archives to find 12 sampler blocks that we love and created a rich square king-sized setting for them.

The 109.5” square setting is an absolute playground for quilters, and each block has been perfectly recreated using easy piecing techniques. From our pattern, you can expect easy-to-follow instructions and clear diagrams in full color.

You can sew along with us by signing up for our Block of the Month program that is from November 2013 to October 2014. Our quilt features the new Sweet Pea by Kansas Troubles Quilters for Moda Fabrics. If your passion is rich, traditional fabrics, you will not want to miss this quilt!

Quilt shop owners, to carry this pattern, you can find this as ISE-144 at United Notions, Checker and Brewer!
