Heirloom Kansas City Star Block of the Month

Our new Heirloom Kansas City Star Block of the Month booklets have arrived. This stunning pattern features quilt blocks originally printed in the Kansas City Star Newspaper, set in subtle star.

A few years ago, a local knitting store owner called me and asked me to come by and said she had a box I might enjoy. When I arrived she had a large box of newspaper clippings from the Kansas City Star Newspaper and I was in love! We wanted to bring the classics back to our customers so our Kansas City Star Block of the Months came to life.

Reserve your spot in our Block of the Month program, beginning in November 2013. If you are a member of our Block of the Month the booklet is included in your membership.

If you are a store owner, be sure to order the Heirloom Block of the Month booklets (ISE-144) for your store.

Have you ever seen the Kansas City Star blocks? We always get a laugh from the articles and ads on the back of the clippings, featuring agricultural news reports, wedding announcements and fashion reports about how the bob is the new hairstyle trend! If you are interested in collecting, tons can be found on eBay!
