Hi everyone! It's Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew and I'm so excited that Button Up is the Pattern of the Month at The Fat Quarter Shop!
This is such a fun pattern to make, and it's so versatile! It would make a great wall hanging in a sewing room, or a baby boy quilt in blues and greens, or a twin quilt in pinks and aquas. There are so many possibilities!
The pattern comes in 3 sizes, but it's easily made bigger or smaller, and easy to adjust if you want to leave out the sashing. It's also a fat quarter quilt for all you fat quarter lovers like myself.
Every step of these blocks can be chain pieced (yay!) which saves on time and helps it to come together fast. Small to medium print fabrics work best for these blocks, and as always, mixing in some solids helps pull it all together. It would also look great with a dark background fabric and light fabrics for the blocks.
