FQS Staff Sewing Challenge!

We have a lot of talented sewers, crafters, and quilters on the FQS team, and we thought that National Sewing & Quilting Month would be the perfect time to show off their talents as well as hosting a little friendly competition. Today, we're hosting our first ever Staff Sewing Challenge at Fat Quarter Shop and we want YOU to choose the winner. The winner of the Staff Sewing Challenge will get a year's worth of bragging rights and a special prize from Kimberly.

Let's start with Nova! She made this adorable Sunshine pincushion with some of Kate Spain's fabrics.

Beverly loves batiks so why not show off her favorite batik prints with this super stylish satchel bag!

Cheryl loves creating novelty quilts! Halloween is just around the corner, so this Peek-A-Boo window blocks quilt is perfect for the ghoulish occasion!

Elva loves to make things her own! Especially with these fabulous bags. She took the original Cell Phone Bag pattern by Quiltsmart and made a larger version for her iPad, how crafty is that?

Debbie created a "love"-ly bolster pillowcase using Paloma by Dear Stella. It's a fun, bright accent for her bedroom!

Codi has only been sewing for less than one year and she has made so many wonderful sewing projects, including this super cute and simple Birch farm Bow Bag featuring the Birch Farm collection by Joel Dewberry.

Our Adela quilted this sweet baby boy blanket in this super soft flannel fabric that will make you want to snuggle!

Joyce made a small pouch to keep all her wishes tucked in ...and possibly some loose change as well, with the Storybook collection by Kate and Birdie.

Sarah is getting crafty and colorful with her crayon roll-up creation! This project is definitely something that every kid should have to organize their crayons and markers!

Vicki made this cute elephant parade bunting for her sweet granddaughter's room! She used the Pink Shadow Dots and Celery Shadow Dots from the Sausalito Cottage collection by Holly Holderman. She also hand appliqued these cute elephants for an added touch of whimsy.

Daniar likes to sew garments in her spare time so she made a reversible skirt from some Tula Pink fabrics she has in her stash.

It's never too early to prepare for Christmas! Eva made this scrappy Christmas tree skirt with all of her favorite holiday fabrics from FQS.

Now, it's up to YOU to decide which crafty project is your favorite! Vote in the poll below and let us know! The winner will be announced on September 28th, 2014 and thank you so much everyone!
