Gravity Quilt Kit by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts

Julie of Jaybird Quilts has done it again! When we saw sneak peeks of her new quilt on Instagram, we knew that it was love at first sight! So today, we are so excited to introduce Jaybird Quilts' Gravity quilt! This beautiful quilt features 114 different Kona Solids and uses her Hex N' More Ruler and her NEW Super Sidekick Ruler

Here is a close up of all of the gorgeous colors used in creating this quilt.

Oh, and did you know that you can make a pillow from your Gravity Quilt scraps? Julie has included a bonus pillow pattern in the quilt kit.

Learn more about the Gravity Quilt and a quick tutorial on how to use her Super Sidekick Ruler in our Quilt Market video

The Gravity quilt kit and backing set is available for pre-order at our shop today and will be shipping in February 2015. Let us know in the comments how much you love this quilt and don't forget to share our blog posts with your friends and family! Have a great day everyone!

Is it possible it will be offered as a BOM like Park Bench was last year? I would love to do it that way! Please let us know!

Hi and thank you so much for your question. The reason why we are kitting this is because the quilt requires over 200 10" squares to make. Robert Kaufman/Kona has created custom layer cakes for the quilt and it goes in the order of how you would make it if it was a BOM. The Gravity Quilt Book that is included in the kit also divides the quilt into sections and step by step instructions so it will be easy to follow. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Yes, I do love this quilt! I can't afford it now, but someday in the future perhaps. And I will say that usually I'm not tempted to buy a kit, too many changes I would want to make. I'm the exact opposite with this quilt! I wouldn't consider changing a thing, it's too beautiful just as it is! Magistra13 at yahoo dot com
