So what exactly is English Paper Piecing (EPP)? It is technique of stabilizing fabric using a paper template. It's different from regular paper piecing because each piece is finished before sewing them together. It's also a great method to learn as a quilter since with English Paper Piecing you can achieve great precision in piecing.
Being a complete newbie, Kimberly was hesitant to try EPP at first, but with Jen's help, she managed to sew up her own creations! you can watch her learn all about EPP right here in this video.
Thank you so much everyone for joining us! Show us your English Paper Piecing projects on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter with #fqsfun and #epp !

ReplyDeleteTotally loving Jen Kingwell ... everything she teaches is wonderful! Please bring her back often!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm I've never tried epp but maybe it's time. I've got a baby due any day now and it might be a way for me to keep sewing without sitting at my machine.
ReplyDeleteLove the great kit and the tutorial! Kimberly's blocks are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love EPP! Great video for newbies! -- and finally someone else who does 20 or more tiny stitches per inch--it's so sturdy and is not going to come out. Kimberly, your sample blocks are sweet!
