March Minis Challenge!

In conjunction with the popular March MAD(ness) game, we thought it would be a brilliant idea to host our own challenge! Introducing our first ever March Minis Challenge! For this event, we're showing off our tiny creations and all things mini with you!

Here are some adorable mini quilts that Kimberly and the FQS team sewed up!
Kimberly's Aurifil Mini 1 and 2, Summer Star Mini Quilt, Mistletoe Lane Mini Quilt, Quilty Fun Birthday Block and Mini Nordic Noel Quilt
P.S. You can only get the Mini Nordic Noel Quilt pattern when you pre-order the Winter Wonderland book by Sherri Falls. How cute is this quilt?

Want to join in on the FUN? Share your mini creations with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all month long with #fqsmarchminis

Oh, and did we mention a giveaway?

For every mini creation you share with us, you'll be automatically entered to our SMALLEST GIVEAWAY ever! But don't be fooled, this giveaway is not as tiny as you think! Check out some of the goodies that are included in the prize.
For this giveaway, we will randomly pick 1 winner on March 31st, 2015 from all of the mini quilt entries using #fqsmarchminis. You can SEW and share any mini quilts that you've made (it does not have to be an FQS pattern). Mini Quilts must be less than 30 x 30 inches. Now who's ready to sew? Visit out MINI PATTERNS page and get started today!

And the winner is...

Do the mini quilts have to be made from patterns shown in the photo, or can you submit any mini quilt?

Does it have to be from a FQS pattern? Because I have one I am working on

Love this challenge!
I have two questions:
1: is this challenge open to international quilters?
2: is there a maximum size to the quilts?
Thank you!

@Esther
Yes, the challenge is open to US and international quilters and the quilt needs to be smaller than 30 x 30 in

Do they have to be mini quilts only sewn in March? Or can I enter all the ones I have done already?

For those of us who don't do Instagram or Twitter, can we just post our minis in the comments on your Facebook page?

Fat Quarter Shop said...

@Annmarie YES! you can!

Leanne Parsons said...

Sounds fun! Do the minis have to be new quilts, or are previous ones eligible too?

Diane Bohn said...

I have the same question as a few above, do they need to be recently finished (like this year)? Or can I share any mini, regardless of when I finished it?

Tammy Edwards said...

Yay! I'm sew doing this!! Have fun everyone!!!

Jen Barnard said...

I'd like to know if it has to be a new finish too. Also, does it have to be facebook, twitter or instagram, I'm not on any of those and wondered if flickr would do.

March Mini sounds fun - should we only post one finished quilt with the hashtag or progress pics too?

annmarie said...

Help - I don't know how to post to the #fqsmarchminis Facebook page. I don't see a comment box or a place to Like or Follow. All I see is everyone else's posts.
