For this sew along, we will be sewing the 45 Farm Girl blocks. You can sew the 6" blocks or the 12" blocks and turn any of your blocks into small or large projects - what ever your heart desires!
We know many of you will be sewing up the Farm Girl Sampler quilt which uses the 6" blocks...
But how about transforming some of your blocks into these adorable potholders with using your backing as binding? Kimberly created a video tutorial to show you how!
Also. check out the other quilt settings Lori created for the book as well.
Here are Kimberly and Codi's blocks...

I got my first block done! You can see my Apron Strings block on my blog here. I'm totally in love with the Farm Girl Vintage book. :)
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great Laurel! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for the Farm Girl Sew Along. I purchased foam boards and duct tape to make my design boards today. I'm binding them in duct tape rather than fabric because it should be easier, and duct tape is so cute these days!
ReplyDeleteWill you be opening a Flickr group for this quilt along? I'm not on facebook, twitter or instagram but would love to add any blocks I sew to a group to share with fellow farm girls. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the book and can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteAre we allowed to copy and paste the Farm Girls quilt along logo above on our blogs to tell our readers we are participating and link back to you?

Hello Gmama Jane, yes you can definitely share the button with your readers!
ReplyDeleteI made my Apron Strings Block. It was easy peasy with Lori's directions! Made the 6" and plan to make one in the 12" just so I can mix up the sizes and choose for my sampler. No cookie cutter quilt for me. My Daughter by LOVE #2 Loved my 30's Retro Block. She has a B-day coming up. I think she needs a little Potholder. If I hurry the girls could all have one for Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteLove the back-to-front binding tutorial. Always wondered how to do that neatly. Thanks!
