Love all the pictures from Market. I think you should include buttons and thread. Maybe in a little collectible tin.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you've included in the sampler boxes before but I'd love thread samples, fabric samples from various manufacturers (either different ones each month or several per month, or maybe samples of solids), hand quilting needles. I think sampler boxes might be hard because quilters are so individual -- hand quilters, machine quilters, modern, scrappy, primitive, Civil War quilters, etc. A sample box is a great idea, though.
ReplyDelete--Nancy. (ndmessier @ aol.com, joyforgrace.blogspot.com)
I would love to try out those alphabitties with the numbers and letters on them, a mini quilt pattern and some of those cute clips in an outrageously fun color! And I have never even seen what washi tape looks like!
ReplyDeleteMini charm packs ( love them ) and Aurifil thread to match!
ReplyDeleteNovelty pins, pin cushions and fun tape measures would be a great addition.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it wouldn't be exciting (unless it's part of the Tula Pink hardware line), a seam ripper would be useful. A cute pair of thread snippers or small scissors would be good too. Maybe throw in some jumbo wonder clips? Thanks for posting so many Quilt Market photos. It's a great way for those of us not in the industry to live vicariously and dream about all the stunning new fabric! Thanks too for the giveaway. bwwedprep(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteA sew sampler subscription box could include a free pattern page for using a range of pre-cuts such as charm squares, a tool such as a template to give you perfect flying geese or a sample of your favourite applique paper as there is now different thicknesses available. (Not everyone lives close to a shop to see what is out there - I do a lot of looking online to find out what is new.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to take part in your competition.
Aurifil thread would be a wonderful addition to the sampler box.
ReplyDeleteA fun new ruler.
ReplyDeleteA new gadget you find there would be fun or a bag pattern with hardware.
ReplyDeleteFabrics would be my favorite thing to find in the sampler box. A pattern for a bag or purse with the hardware needed. Something new and different and exciting.
ReplyDeleteAurifil thread Always needed and no other thread compares.
ReplyDeleteAurifll thread, Alphabeties, Mini Charm Pack,
ReplyDeleteThere are always items you can never have enough of like small scissors, nice pins, binding clips. Oh, and self threading needles. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the pics. I love to see them!
I think technique-themed boxes like applique, EPP, or even color theory would be fun. I always enjoy trying out new-to-me ways of doing something. Thanks for asking =) I really do love my first box last month and am anxiously waiting for #2!
ReplyDeleteOops, bring in some of those special threads.,
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too may seam rippers and sewing needles- machine and hand. Cotton is always appreciated too.
ReplyDeleteHello - fabulous thread and a new charm pack or maybe even two.
ReplyDeleteModa tins, Aurifil, mini charms :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for one of your red magnetic pin holders, don't have a great pin holder so I definitely would use this!
ReplyDeleteI would love a mini quilt pattern and a charm pack that could be used to make the mini.
ReplyDeleteFabric is always appreciated!
ReplyDeleteHow about some of Lori Holt's buttons? And we can truly never get enough Alphabitties or Wonder clips. Then there are scissors, floss, Aurifil, maybe some lightweight fusible....
ReplyDeleteCute scissors, aurifil thread and a mini quilt pattern--oh the list could go on and on!
ReplyDeleteSome Aurifill thread (cream and grey), some Riley Blake solids (they are the BEST), little spring loaded snips that could be kept right at your sewing machine. Also, maybe a Bloc=loc HST trimming ruler: they are amazing!!!
ReplyDeletecute little scissors, thread, new patterns, anything is a bonus!!
ReplyDeleteAurifil thread, self threading needles, small scissors, mini charm packs, among other things that would be lovely to find when opening a sampler box.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would find most interesting? How can I pick just one? From looking at the pictures, for which
ReplyDeleteI thank you!, I would say the Aurifil thread collection and The Sample Spree!, even if
I couldn't get any samples, just tomsee them all, how awesome!
You can include more fabric, rulers like for log cabins or even frixion pens ..
ReplyDeleteFat quarters of French General fabric is my vote for a box item. Oh, and Clover piecing pins!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing quilt market with us
i would love to see threads and bobbin holders. Can never have too many of them to organize bobbins.
ReplyDeleteI would like to have a box with stuff I probably wouldn't necessarily otherwise try like triangle paper and some pattern and fabric that suits that particular triangle paper.
ReplyDeleteThread and low volume print in different shades. I've been searching for low volume prints in shades of green which are rare as hens teeth.
ReplyDeleteI think fabric surprises from Market! Buttons, thread and patterns! Fun!
ReplyDeleteZipper and cute purse pattern to use it with :-)
ReplyDeleteSome sort of triangle papers would be nice. I have thought about trying then, but have never splurged.
ReplyDeleteSome sort of triangle papers would be nice. I have thought about trying then, but have never splurged.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see triangle paper, or Alphabitties, and of course, FABRIC!!
ReplyDeletePlease include some glass head pins and a binding tool - it's the binding that kills me (joining the ends)
ReplyDeleteMandyAdams
quiltingmama58@gmail.com
How about different notions? From needles to the latest fabric marker or any nre gadgets that are taking the quilting world by storm
ReplyDeleteI would love to see pre cuts of any of the new lines of fabrics you have shown. They are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSelf threading needles, binding clips, double sided tape and different rulers are always useful. Fabric of course. EPP and foundation piecing patterns. The list is endless
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, what a question to ask a quilter! Anything quilt or sewing related would make us all happy including perhaps new Aurifil thread colors, charm packs from new fabric lines, a specialty ruler and whatever else to tickle our collective fancies!
ReplyDeleteSewing and quilting accessories would good. Clever clips, rugged rippers, even beautiful buttons

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great pictures! I think you should include in your next Sew Sampler Box a few mini charm packs and a pattern or two for it.
ReplyDeleteI think you should include some variegated Aurifil thread because I'm always intrigued by it but never buy it. Receiving it in a box like this would make the choice for me.
ReplyDeleteStick with the basics, Aurifil, new fabric, and that Creative Grids 2.5 x 6.5 ruler, I have had one for 10 years and use it all the time. (did not get from FQS)
ReplyDeletecork@pa.rr.com
Fabric! and some of the wonderful creative grids rulers along with specialty rulers that you've demoed on you tube like the log cabin
ReplyDeleteone.
Thanks for all the great market pictures. I doubt you would include anything in the sampler boxes we wouldn't love, but samples of the new fabric lines would be wonderful as well as any new creative grid rulers. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great market post. I think you should include fabric including some solids, Aurifil thread, the best seam ripper and a small pair of scissors.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a cute button collection included in the box. Thanks for sharing Market pics. I always look forward to it.
ReplyDeleteAnything by Minnick and Simpson, Fig Tree or Basic Grey. Love them all

ReplyDeleteMore aurifil!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we will get a sample of auricular thread, one of the FQS patterns and a few more goodies.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see some Zen Chic fabric, anything Jaybird Quilts, or some fat quarters of Tula Pink!!
ReplyDeleteBinding clips, bloc loc ruler, or aurifil sample pack. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteSarah. wmgrads@earthlink.net
Oh, that is a hard decision! Perhaps some Aurifil thread and a mini-quilt pattern with fabric to match.
ReplyDeleteA pattern for a bag and all the hardware, like the zipper or clasp and the fusible interfacing or batting. It gives people a new project and the opportunity to try new products.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a great job filling your sampler box on your own, but if you need more ideas why not ask your quilt designer friends to share some of their favorite product ideas with you. I know the May box has Lori's buttons so you could have made it all things Lori! (And maybe you did).
ReplyDeleteThread and fabric samples are always a good thing to receive. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePlease click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.
White or gray Aurifil thread for piecing, charm packs of new fabric lines, sewing machine needles, cute scissors, and anything Bonnie and Camille.
ReplyDeleteI think anything you talk about is exciting to me! Especially the features of co-ordinating fabrics and designs using them. Thanks for the generous giveaway. akronne17@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteSome things we all want, but hesitate to buy. Another pair of cute scissors, thread in a wild color, glass headed pins, specialty rulers (can't have too many).
ReplyDeleteAnything included in the box will be wonderful, I'm sure.
Would love any mini pattern or anything that has a logo on it such as mods or fat quarter shop. Pins, clips, rulers or templates are great.
ReplyDeleteKona and little scissors. I never have enough of either.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see some thread.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun photos from Market. What to include in quilting box...zipper or two, alphabities, maybe a bag pattern.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the market booth pictures. Love seeing all the upcoming lines and can't wait to get them! Maybe some pretty thread in the next box.
ReplyDeleteIt's time to start Christmas sewing - a JOL charm pack.
ReplyDeleteDifferent brands of white thread so people can try them and find what works for them, white because it will actually be used :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about a neutral thread and a surprise? I love surprises.
ReplyDeleteI always like a quickie pattern that can be made with pre cuts. I make lots of baby quilts for charity and friends. Some new ideas for table runners that have a fresh look. I think trims are a big treat also - edgins, rick rack etc. Such a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAn Aurifil thread to compliment a charm pack for a modern quilt design would make my day! Love the market picks. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteSo exciting to see all the new goodies ! Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteLstangl482 at aol dot com
Alphabetties would definitely be a good addition to the sew sampler box.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what is in the boxes as I haven't been getting them but I think everyone loves charm packages - mini or larger, little binding clips, that kind of thing. Have fun at market and would love either of those wonderful bundles that you show.
ReplyDeleteA seam guide/foot to help me w/accurate seams, like the 1/4".
ReplyDeleteAurifil 40wt and 50wt threads too.
Thank you!
bluestarof2(at)yahoo(dot)com
a spool of your favorite aurifil thread color, a charm pack of Sundrops (LOVE that line-- can't wait until it is available) and a pattern to use it, a crayola ultraclean marker(they are the best ever to mark quilting lines or seam lines-- they wash away completely even after being ironed over)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! So many choices but how about a Tula Pink pattern and some of her thread?
ReplyDeleteI think you should include a small Creative grids ruler and some Aurifil thread, your favorite color cream 2000!
ReplyDeleteI love any sort of notions including buttons I also adore the mini charm packs.
ReplyDeleteMaureen, New Zealand
Fabrics would be my choice, maybe a fat quarter. Thread is also a good choice. Love the pictures from Spring Market!
ReplyDeleteInclude the alphabitties and of course, some Aurafil thread, always.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the market photos! My favorite thing is always fabric, but a good seam ripper is always helpful and maybe some thread snips or thread samples to match fabric. Thanks for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteSome of the newest fabrics from Zen Chic and a Bloc-Loc ruler.
ReplyDeleteI think one or more of the shapes from Lori Holt , each sampler could have different ones. Different weights of thread, different kinds of thread, a few paper piece shapes, and of course some samples of new beautiful fabric.
ReplyDeletemini charm packs from a couple of the new collections - some of the clips used for binding (I've never gotten any), one of the plastic wraps for threads, oh shoot, just put in a free ticket to the next quilt show!!! Maybe a "lottery ticket" for a drawing the following month? So many things I want..lol.....
ReplyDeleteAll the new collections look wonderful. I'm really being pulled into the darker colors that give so much pop to traditional looking fabrics. Having charm/mini charm packs in the next box with a mini quilt or pillow pattern would be fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having a blast! I think a BlocLoc ruler would be awesome in the box!
ReplyDeleteAs much material as possible! I'd also like to try some Aurafil thread please.

ReplyDeleteI would love to win a pile of fabric, you are so generous with prizes. I love all of the quilts Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration
I'm always looking for a good seam ripper. Also cute tape measures. Of course rulers, fabric, fabric and then some fabric would also be nice.
ReplyDeleteYou all look like you're having so much fun at Quilt Market. I think the next Quilting Box should include Aurifil (everyone can always use Aurifil!) and mini charms.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a charm pack of chestnut street fabric and a pattern to go with it.
ReplyDeleteLoved all the pretty photos. Can only dream of how much fun it would be to attend one of these. Those clips and buttons, buttons, and more buttons!
ReplyDeleteReally nice, fine, sharp pins.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see postcards of all those beautiful designer booths...
ReplyDeleteI think charm squares and scissors would be nice.
ReplyDeleteHow about some of the new Moda Treat precuts and a pattern to use them. I am loving all of the great

ReplyDeleteI would love a Fig Tree inspired box. I adore anything that Joanna does.

ReplyDeleteI'm forcing myself to do some paper piecing blocks from the quiltalongs I've been participating in. I'm starting to enjoy it. Anything to improve the process would be appreciated (rulers, etc.)
ReplyDeleteI think it would be awesome to open up a box that had some pretty pins, threads, and a gift voucher for a pattern. A charm pack or a set of fat quarters or half-yard cuts would always be loved, too!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone would complain about thread samples of different weight. But including a charm pack and a small template with a pattern is always fun to receive. I like to embellish my quilts with appliqués and embroidery so some ideas on that would work well.
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to see what you come up with!
