ReplyDeleteI loved all her videos but the curved piecing video is something I have always wanted to try. A mini quilt featuring curved piecing would be fantastic. I am making her placemats now for a charity giveaway, her zippered bag looks very useful and part of her zipper installation is a little different from the way I use. I love learning new stuff!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite video is the Simple Zipper Bag. I am doing this project with my girls for a 4-H project. We may even do a couple more of Sherri's projects for 4-H sewing projects. They are so easy to follow and give helpful hints.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite was how to use the stripology ruler. I too am a ruler geek but i dont think I would have ever even looked at that ruler had i not watched her using it in the video. Oh my goodness, it saves SO much time!! I rushed out and bought one that evening and used it the next morning and WHIPPED through my cutting. SO helpful!

ReplyDeleteI loved them all but to narrow it down I'm going to say the beginner charm pack placemat because I am going to make it. I still don't feel confidentt to make curves. It's like driving in a car on a mountain road, I'm just petrified I'm going to drive off the edge. But I do think her daybreak design is beautiful..just too hard for a beginner quilter. I really think maybe I can make the shine star block maybe..but it looks complicated too. That's why I think I should stick with charm squares..how can I mess that up? Hahaha

ReplyDeleteI guess I have to say my favorite is The Beginner Charm Pack Placemat. I just made 2 out of a Prarie Charm Pack, for my mom for Christmas. My mom uses all colors of Fiesta Ware, so I thought the colors in Prarie were perfect. They made up very fast.

I enjoyed all of the videos. Sherri was so calm, but informative. The one I liked best was the one on Curved Piecing because I've only done it once before - I've made just one curved pieced block, so this was very informative and made me want to make more curved blocks!
