Fandango by Kate Spain-- and more!

Bringing the Spain back home, Kate Spain's new line Fandango does an absolutely fabulous job!  After living in Spain for two months myself, this line hits right to my heart, reminding me of the color tones and architecture all around the country.... ohh how I want to go back to visit!  I love how Kate gave us an extra kick with a little contemporary feel too!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying summer to its fullest. It's been a busy one around here for sure and I am so happy that it's August now because that means...Fandango yardage will be shipping! You probably already know that a "Fandango" is quite a snappy Spanish folk dance (ya, it's not just where you buy movie tickets), complete with castanets, hand clapping and foot stamping.




While I'm not much of a dancer (two left feet on the dance floor) I had such fun letting my pencil dance across the page when I began sketching concepts for this line!



I also wanted to include my love for making pottery and some of the beautiful motifs on hand made decorative tiles from afar.



The colors for Fandango were largely inspired by some tiles I bought while traveling in Mexico. When I saw them, I fell in love with the earthy combination of gold, celadon and terra cotta.

    I love that tin! Seriously, if I don't win I want to buy one but it would be awesome to win. It contains two of my favorite Moda fabrics. I've already made two quilts with Fandango and I'm glad yardage came out so I can do the binding.

    I have loved Fandango since I saw the first glimpses! In person (b/c I bought a charm pack as soon as I could) the colors are so lovely and the patterns are fantastic!

    I was lucky enough to quilt two Schnibbles made from Fandango for one of my clients. I fell in love with it! As luck had it I also won Fandango from Carrie (Miss Rosie) so that was it....I have an order placed in your shop for backing and binding to complete a large lap quilt of this line! I love it!! PS. Could always use more.

    Love the fabrics and the precuts. I find it harder to cut a lot of fabrics at once with my hands, so the precuts are a great way to make something wonderful without the pain.

    Fat Quarters does an excellent job bringing the quilter closer to the designers. Seeing the inspiration tiles that lead to Fandango feels like being let into a little secret. It makes picking out Fandango yardage that more personal. Thanks FQ!

    Fandango is a warm, luscious fabric line. I've already made a table runner out of the charm pack using the Charmed Living table runner pattern on Moda's Bake Shop. It is just waiting for the backing and binding (which I'm trying to pick out right now!)
