The Fat Quarter Shop is excited to welcome Sue Zipkin to the Jolly Jabber. Sue’s latest fabric collection is Gone Haunting from Clothworks.
Thank you so much, for inviting me back to talk about one of my latest fabric collections, Gone Haunting by Clothworks.
I have always been artistically inspired by holidays. I recall when I was a little girl whatever the holiday might be I was excited to create something for the season. Halloween is one of my favorites. I love creepy creatures. When I was around 10, I created a group of monsters, I even named them, Kookie Monsters. Although I no longer have the artwork, in my mind I can still imagine them and how much Joy they brought me to create.
When it comes to Halloween, bloody zombies are not my cup of tea. I can admire those from a far, as long as they do not ring my doorbell asking for treats. Myself and my family love to decorate for the season. The silliness of Halloween always makes me giggle, things like whimsical goofy pumpkins, scary black cats and creepy bats. Halloween is so magical and can capture your imagination, it gives everyone young and old a chance to be creative.
I do hope my new fabric collection for Clothworks inspires the many wonderful quilters who read this blog to create some fun creepy projects. I adore seeing your creations so please feel free to contact me and send me your projects and I can post it on my blog. Thank you to everyone who buys my fabric, you are my inspiration!
