ReplyDeleteI am already making Debonaire in Sweetwater's Hometown, which I love, but for a different take I would like to make it in Double Chocolat and use some of the reds and deep browns.

ReplyDeleteSince the word debonaire means gracious, suave, and gentlemanly I would choose a fabric line for a man. Nothing with flowers and such. I would use Tide Pool Batiks. It has very handsome fabric such as "chestnut herringbone" and "Seagull Houndstooth". I think the browns, greens, and blues would make a perfect quilt for the "debonaire" in my life.

For this traditional quilt, I think Tavern Reds would be lovely. Since green is my favorite color, I think I would be tempted to add some Tavern Greens as well.
