I am new to quilting and I am very proud of my first few projects. I was recently inspired by my 88 year old aunts quilt made of patchwork girls (I later found was called sun bonnet sue) using fabrics from her dresses she wore as a little girl. I enjoyed the excitement in her eyes as she recalled every patch and remembered her childhood dresses. I plan on making one of these quilts and although I do not have a dress collection to use for my patches, I do so love my fabric collection and will enjoy selecting just the right ones for my special quilt. If I only have some nice thread to sew them on with........

  170. I've got some 30's prints that were my mothers and some of Darlene's prints and this thread would be great to finally get going on a 30's Dresden plate quilt. Thanks for the chance!

  171. Well, my daughter is in the process of adoption - so excited for her and love Darlene's 30's fabrics so I will be making a baby quilt first. Then I have some Heart and Hand patterns for mini's that are screaming 30's fabrics. Thanks for the opportunity.

  174. I love traditional blocks, so just about anything I do would fit. I always need thread! If I had to choose, making a quilt with just Dresdens or a one-block quilt with a star.

  178. I just finished piecing a memory quilt in honor of my grandmother. It's made with her handkerchiefs, her embroidered pillowcases and dishtowels, and some of her blouses - definitely retro! These colors would be great for quilting it. Thanks for the chance to win!
