Hello everyone! Welcome back to our 2014 Summer Book Club. Today we are featuring Playful Petals by Corey Yoder of Little Miss Shabby. There are eighteen beautiful quilting projects that range from pillows to quilts. Using one simple petal shape template, precuts and basic piecing technique, you'll be able to create these eighteen beautiful quilts. We know that many of you might be intimidated by applique, but in this book, Corey will teach you all about the basics of applique and how simple it can be!

Jocelyn caught up with Corey at the 2014 Spring International Quilt Market!

It's time for our 2014 Summer Book Club giveaway! We are giving away a stash of books to ten lucky winners from now until the end of August. 181. I do use applique, although for the first few years I did quilting, I referred to it as the "A" word. All I had to do was try it, and since then I've enjoyed it, especially using the fusible technique.
