FQS Staff Takes on a BOM Month 3

Hi everyone and welcome back to another monthly recap of our Block of the Months! Besides being Kimberly's favorite month (it's her birthday month), March is always full of surprises at FQS. We invited a special guest this month, released a new Shortcut Quilt video tutorial and hosted our first March Minis Challenge! Now on to some more quilty fun with our monthly recaps.

Kimberly has been a busy little bee as usual! She's worked on more Snapshots tutorials, like this month's Put The Kettle On block that symbolizes our favorite beverages that trigger special memories in our hearts. Don't forget that we still some Snapshots Quilt Kits and backing sets available so you can sew along!
Kimberly had the honor of being the 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month. Her Ripples quilt is a fresh and modern way to do simple half-square triangles and flying geese. Check out her quilt here
And made more progreess on her Threads of Time BOM. She's Loving every minute of it. If you're wondering how to make that adorable design board underneath her blocks, check out our YouTube tutorial featuring Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet on how to create your own.

We're loving Jocelyn's Chandelier Quilt-Along blocks inspired by a painting she's had since her childhood. She's sewing up all of her blocks in various green fabrics. Her progress has been slow, but progress is progress right?
Well hello, deer! We love that Codi fussycut the Meadow Oh, Hello print from the Hello, Bear collection for her Pat Sloan's Vacation Time Mystery Block of the Month
In honor of spring, Codi sewed up Kimberly's 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month in the Fresh Cut collection by Basic Grey.

Sarah finally finished her #thisandthatmystery quilt and it looks absolutely gorgeous. We love the pop of red on the quilt. The Mystery Monday Sew Along has officially ended but there's still more sewing to be done! Do you know of any sew alongs that you think would be great for Sarah to join?
This month, Nova joined a NEW paper piecing quilt along called Forest Quilt Along by Quilt Art Designs. Tune in next month to see Nova's other quilt along blocks!
For her Moccasin Block of the Month, Daniar tackled curved piecing for the first time and she loves her finished block.
Last but definitely not least, is Kat's first Zelda Quilt Along block, the Knight! If you're sewing along with Kat, these blocks uses 1.5" fabric squares and check out the fusible backing construction method for great tips on how to construct these blocks.
Thanks for joining us and tune in next month for more quilty fun!
