Take 5 Chubbies

Everyone loves a fat quarter quilt pattern. They let you dig into your stash and use those beloved fat quarters that we collect throughout the years. Kathy Brown of The Teacher's Pet is here to chat about her new Take 5 Chubbies, so pull out your fat quarters and get ready to sew!

"Take 5 Chubbies" are new, fresh, fun and exciting fat quarter patterns based on the ever-so- popular Take 5 technique of choosing just 5 fabrics to make a quilt!

Each pattern uses 5 fat quarters + a bit of fabric for backgrounds, borders or binding to make quilts ranging from 25" x 25" up to 55" x 70" (future patterns will reach king size!). Each pattern is printed full color and includes detailed instructions that Take 5 followers have come to know and depend upon.

The use of neutral fabrics as their foundation gives many of the "Chubbies" a modern feel with their traditional designs, while fusible raw edge applique adds a touch of whimsy to several of the quilts.

From wall hangings to table toppers, table runners, bed runners, picnic - snuggle - and lap quilts in the mix, there's a wide variety of designs to choose from!
