I narrowed my choice to three collections that all had 6 or 7 base colors available. Then I picked Good Morning by Me and My Sister because the colors are bright and I like the idea of being able to include black on a baby quilt.

I would do it in the brand new Welcome to Sesame Street by Quilting Treasures! Oh the bright colors and the eyes fabric would be so cute for the baby to focus on.

For a girl, I would use Honey Honey by Kate Spain. For a boy, I would use Thomas the Train or Who's That Train? From Timeless Treasures. The zigzags would look great for train tracks with a train theme.
