ReplyDeleteActually, I think I would use Architextures for this one. Give it a modern twist while still keeping it somewhat neutral colors (blacks, grays, and white).

ReplyDeleteI like the original fabric choice with the dramatic dark fabrics. Yet, in keeping with the contest of choosing a new line, I would choose the collection Mill Book Series circa 1835. The quilt design would be a lighter sweet looking vintage quilt. I also like that this is a collection for a cause. ReplyDeletewell, this will sound crazy, but I think the Fabulous Felines metallic Paw Print yardage, in the assorted bright colors, would look great as the stars. Set it against a black background and you've got fireworks in a night sky for 4th of July or New Year's Eve. Beautiful, fun twist on this lovely pattern!

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know where to begin in choosing a fabric line, I prefer older looking fabrics like reproduction prints.
ReplyDeleteI would use daffodil, nectar, neon and lipstick sketch for the blocks and maybe purple as the background and charcoal as the first thin border. I want to get some of the candy background dot in there too, maybe as the outer border, but not sure if that might be a bit much! Maybe as backing instead.
