Pattern Play with the Fat Quarter Shop

  9. Actually, I think I would use Architextures for this one. Give it a modern twist while still keeping it somewhat neutral colors (blacks, grays, and white).

  43. I like the original fabric choice with the dramatic dark fabrics. Yet, in keeping with the contest of choosing a new line, I would choose the collection Mill Book Series circa 1835. The quilt design would be a lighter sweet looking vintage quilt. I also like that this is a collection for a cause.   62. well, this will sound crazy, but I think the Fabulous Felines metallic Paw Print yardage, in the assorted bright colors, would look great as the stars. Set it against a black background and you've got fireworks in a night sky for 4th of July or New Year's Eve. Beautiful, fun twist on this lovely pattern!

  175. I would use daffodil, nectar, neon and lipstick sketch for the blocks and maybe purple as the background and charcoal as the first thin border. I want to get some of the candy background dot in there too, maybe as the outer border, but not sure if that might be a bit much! Maybe as backing instead.
