We are so excited to be part of the
Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour and are proud that THREE
It's Sew Emma blocks are featured in the
magazine, Marmalade Flower by Kimberly Jolly, Trendster by Jocelyn Ueng and Fairy Tale Castle by Sarah Price! We had so much fun designing these blocks and are excited to show them off!
Keep reading to hear more about our blocks from the magazine and to enter to win copies of
Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Magazine Volume 7 for yourself!
Hello Jolly Jabbers, It's Kimberly! I am huge fan of flower blocks, and I knew I wanted to use
Marmalade by Bonnie & Camille for my block. I created a block with two differently shaped petals and corner accents, to lead into an embellished sashing design. For the fabric, I fussy cut my favorite prints, and I love how it turned out! It’s the essence of Spring in my eyes.
Jocelyn here! I designed the Trendster block on page 70 of the magazine. It features
Simply Color by V and Co. Trendster is a block that will stay in my arsenal of useful blocks. This cool color scheme has been a favorite of mine since I was kid, and wearing them always made me feel cool. (I was a child of the late 80s, early 90s.) So this block also makes me feel cool. And while you can use any palette you like, the corner triangles leave it open to interpretation, so you can sneak a second motif into your quilt. Thanks to Quiltmaker for including our blocks!
Hello Jolly Jabber Readers! Sarah here! I designed the Fairy Tale Castle block on page 41 of the magazine. What girl doesn’t want to live in a fairy tale castle! I saw the Princess collection from Michael Miller and knew it would make an adorable castle block. The block uses both
Princess and
Fairy Frost by Michael Miller Fabrics, and is perfect for any little princess!
And now for the giveaway! We are offering up three copies of Quiltmaker's
