Hello everyone! We're talking about a brand new book filled with exciting quilt designs from nine modern quilters called Optical Illusions. They took on the challenge to design a quilt with a strong optical illusion that is distinctively modern, and the results are pretty incredible.
Today, we're showcasing Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting's Old Dutch quilt from the book. Melissa started quilting about 10 years ago, and for the past few years, her hobby turned into a passion. She's a regular contributor on the Jolly Jabber, joining our blog hops, and sharing her wonderful creations with our patterns!
Her block, Old Dutch was inspired by a field of windmills. How gorgeous is this?
The spiral quilting just adds to the optical illusion.
Here's a little peek of other quilts in the book and head on over to My Stars Quilts to see more.
To celebrate this new book, we are giving away the Naptime Bella Solids Fat Quarter Bundle! This bundle is an exclusive Bella Solids bundle at our shop and a great way to start any project in this book. To enter this giveaway, all you need to do is let us know which of the nine authors are you most excited to learn from in the comments section. The winner will be announced on November 18th, 2014.
And the winner is.... Jamie Lee Cooley
Thank you so much for joining us and tune in next time for more fun on the Jolly Jabber!
