Free-Motion Quilting with Made By Marzipan

Hello everyone! Have you always wanted to learn how to do free motion quilting using your standard, everyday sewing machine? Today, our friend, Maureen of Made by Marzipan is here to show you a quick and easy free-motion quilting tutorial. If you are unfamiliar with free-motion quilting, it is a technique where quilting stitches are added by sewing in any direction on the surface of the quilt.

Before you get started, here are a few things you need:
1. Open toe foot for your machine
2. Basting spray adhesive
3. Quilting gloves (recommended but not required)

Ready to get started? Watch Maureen's video for a step-by-step tutorial on three basic free-motion quilt designs: loops, flames, and starry loops.

Don't forget to let us know what other tutorials you would like to see from Fat Quarter Shop in the comments section! Thank you so much and happy quilting!
