What's Your REMIX? with Fat Quarter Shop & Cotton + Steel

Cotton + Steel has done it again! We're showing you their NEW Fall 2014 collection today and their inspirations. PLUS! Keep on reading for a surprise!

Melody Miller is no stranger in the fabric industry! Her newest collections Playful is inspired by her favorite vintage games!

From her trip to Japan, Sarah Watts fell in love with the culture of the country, and especially the long train rides she took to all of the different cities. Tokyo Train Ride is inspired by her sketches from her trip and all of the things she loved about it. 

Alexia Abegg's second collection, Mesa, was inspired by her childhood road trips to the Southwest. She draws upon her experiences with animals, evergreens, and motifs that you might find during those trips. 

Being known the vintage fabric aficionado, it's no surprise that Kim Kight was inspired by vintage Betty Crocker cook books and baking paraphernalia from the 1960's for her newest collection, Cookie Book. These prints are yummy enough to eat! 

 Rashida Coleman-Hale takes a leap back to her biggest inspiration, Japan. In her new collection, Mochi, she illustrates the Japanese folk tale about the Rabbit in the Moon and making mochi (rice cakes). These prints are so playful but still sophisticated for all your sewing projects.

What is it?
For this contest, we want you to pick 9 of your favorite Cotton + Steel fabrics to create your ultimate REMIX!

What's the AWESOME prize?
We will have TWO winners for this contest. One will be picked by the Cotton + Steel designers as their choice, and the other will be chosen by YOU! The two winners will receive 1 yard of each of the respective 9 fabrics they re-mixed. 

How do I enter?
1. Go to Pinterest and sign in to your account, or if you do not have a Pinterest account, sign up here.

 2. Create a new Pinterest board called "What's Your REMIX?" and PIN 9 different fabrics selections from the Cotton + Steel page to that board and create your favorite remix! (You can include any of the Spring, Fall, and Basic collections). 
3. Once you are done pinning all 9 fabrics, post your Pinterest board link on this blog post in the comments section and you are automatically entered to our contest! Only ONE entry per quilter. 

 4. The contest ends on January 30th and voting will run from February 2, 2015 to February 6, 2015. Both winners will be announced on February 10, 2015 on our blog!
