Good day everyone! It's time for another 2015 Summer Book Club pick. If you're a fan of English Paper Piecing (EPP), then you will LOVE Sue Daley's book, Raspberry Parlour.
Not only is Raspberry Parlour full of EPP projects, it incorporates needleturn applique and traditional hand piecing methods. Can we just say that Sue's applique and EPP tutorials are some of the best out there. The book also includes Sue's favorite Raspberry pie recipe.

With all of the adorable projects in the book, it was hard for Kimberly to settle on just one, but she chose to make the Raspberry Parlour Block book for her favorite pink notebook. She used Lecien Fabrics' upcoming collection Minny Muu. Cute right?
If you're just getting into the groove of EPP or would like to try this craft, we created the English Paper Piecing kit (curated by Sue's friend, Jen Kingwell) for you to get started. WARNING: EPP is extremely addicting, so be sure to power up with some caffeine before you start.

... But, almost tied with first is L's Modern Basics, also by Lecien! (awesome!!)
Next on my short list, is Tiger Lily by Heather Ross (love!), Lucky by Lotta Jansdotter, and Simply Colorful II by V.&Co. (Wonderful fabrics coming!!)

Some of my favorite, upcoming collections are Farmhouse by Fig Tree Quilts For Moda Fabrics, Hello Darling by Bonnie & Camille for Moda Fabrics, and Vintage Market by Tasha Noel for Riley Blake Designs. Your shop is always the go to shop to find all these beautiful fabrics, just wish my local shop would carry all these fabric collections.

ReplyDeleteIf I HAD to choose just one it might be "Cheddar and Indigo" from Penny Rose ....but then again, Fig Tree, French General, Sharon Holland,Blackbird... Too many choices oh my!
Cheddar and Indgo would float my boat though...for awhile anyway !

First I thought I would like Hello Darling because I seem to collect Bonnie & Camille fabric, then I loved Charlotte (and still do) but then I found Windermere.... that is what I would love to make my next hexi quilt from.

Oooo, so many pretty things coming! I had a hard time deciding, but Canyon shouted loudest at me. I love the botanical with retro-feel colors.
