How to Host a Half-Square Triangle Exchange with Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts

Sewing and quilting has community embedded in its roots. Although we no longer need to quilt in groups around a huge quilt frame, we still love to sew together! We also love to see what our friends have stashed away, and Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts has a wonderful way of accomplishing this, even if you and your friends are far apart. She hosts half-square triangle exchanges, and in this video, she walks us through making half-square triangles and starting you own exchange!

We make a lot of half-square triangles over here, so we go through half-square triangle paper like water. Do you have tips for working with half-square triangles? We'd love to know!

  3. Apply Magic Sizing to fabrics to give your fabrics stability AND don't pin. Use temporary basting spray to hold the paper to the fabric so no slippage.
