FQS Staff Takes on a BOM Month 2!

Happy Friday everyone! We can't believe February is almost over and March is just around the corner, so you know what that means? It's time for another quick recap of our Block of the Months progress. If you missed our first post, click here to see what we've been up to.

When she's not running an amazing fabric shop (Go Fat Quarter Shop!), you can find her sewing in her room! Kimberly is always contributing to the creative quilting and sewing community every day. This year, she's taking on the 2015 Aurifil Designer Mystery Block of the MonthThreads of Time BOMAPQ Go Four It QAL, not to mention our very own 2015 Snapshots Quilt Along

This month's Snapshots block is the Sew On & Sew On block dedicated to our love of sewing. We're so amazed to see all of your Snapshots blocks this month on our Facebook Group and Instagram

This month's 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month mini quilt was designed by one of Kimberly's favorite designers, Joanna of Fig Tree Quilts. Her chubby churn dash is a great twist on a classic block. Kimberly chose to create hers from the Cotton + Steel basics. Tune in next month for Kimberly's mini quilt (PS: It's going to be extra adorable!).
Next up is the Threads of Time Block of the Month by Julie Hendricksen. Kimberly made a box full of flying geese this month!
Last but not least is Kimberly's version of the American Patchwork and Quilting Go Four It Quilt Along. Check out how Kimberly created her version on our blog here

Jocelyn is taking on last year's Chandelier Quilt-Along hosted by Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced and check out her beautiful blocks! She decided to create a QUEEN-size version of this quilt, so more blocks are on their way.
Fabrics Shown: Cotton+Steel basics, American Brand Solids, Kona Solids, and Stonehenge
Codi has been sewing up quilts left and right this past month and she even managed to create a second version of Pat Sloan's Vacation Time Mystery Block of the Month in the new Hello, Bear collection by Bonnie Christine. Those cute foxes just make us smile all day! Don't forget to follow her instagram @codibug1.
Codi's used V&Co.'s Color Theory collection to create a scrappy look for her 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month mini quilt churn dash blocks.
Sarah joined Sherri Fall's Mystery Monday Sew Along and whipped up her beautiful blocks this month. If you want to join her, use #thisandthatmystery and sew along on Instagram and Sherri's Blog. Follow Sarah's sewing adventure on Instagram at @spjenice.

When she's not busy writing our It's Sew Emma patterns, Nova is definitely sewing! She joined two different quilt alongs for 2015, the first is Quiltmaker's Bitty Blocks Quilt Along. This month she sewed up some bitty basket blocks that finish at 4" square!
She also took on The Power of Nine Patch BOM with Sherri Noel Designs and is finally caught up with her blocks. This is also the first time that she's trying the "quilt-as-you-go" method.

Fabrics shown: Lila collection by Dear Stella

Daniar sewed up her first Moccasin Block of the Month blocks this month and so far it's looking very pretty in pink! For more fun, check out her Instagram @dlistyasari.
Just a few more days until the Legend of Zelda Quilt Along starts (March 1st, to be exact) and Kat has prepared some of her fabrics. And she keeps them all in her Legend of Zelda lunch box to guard them from Zelda's antagonist, Ganon. She even has Tetra, the pirate captain of the ships in Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass helping her!

Thank you so much for joining us everyone! Here is a HINT for what's coming up in March on the Jolly Jabber: it involves mini quilts, lots of prizes, and tons of FUN. Happy Quilting!
